AP2’s overall objective is that sustainability must form an integral part of all analytical and decision processes. This work has been ongoing in a structured form for several years now.
The Fund is responsible both for the management and governance of the capital assets in its care and is actively engaged in addressing the related environmental, ethical, social issues and corporate governance issues from both perspectives. By encouraging portfolio companies to address ethical and environmental issues, the Second AP Fund can help them identify the opportunities and risks, at an early stage, which can affect long-term return. AP2 believes that a responsible long-term approach to the environment, ethics and governance enhances the value of companies. By integrating an analysis of environmental, ethical and corporate governance factors with its economic analysis, the Fund’s asset managers are able to generate better data for investment decisions.
