Student Thesis Prize
AP2 awards an annual thesis prize to encourage students researching finance and sustainability. The award is open to bachelor’s, postgraduate diploma and master’s theses that combine financial economics, asset management or company valuation with relevant sustainability issues.
The purpose is to highlight academic work that contributes new perspectives on how capital markets can develop in a more sustainable direction. The thesis must demonstrate a high academic standard and a clear connection to both finance and sustainability.
Students who wish to apply should submit their thesis together with the required supporting documents in accordance with the instructions for the relevant year.

Isabelle Wennerström
What does your role at AP2 involve?
I work as a Business Controller within Finance and Business Control, where I manage the Fund’s investments from a back-office perspective, primarily focusing on accounting, transaction processing and reconciliations.
What is the most important part of your role?
Ensuring that the processes surrounding our investments are accurate and traceable. It is a role that requires attention to detail and collaboration with many different parts of the organisation.
Why did you choose AP2?
I was attracted by the combination of a meaningful public mission and a highly professional environment. Here, I have the opportunity to develop alongside knowledgeable colleagues.
Maja Tössebro
What does your role at AP2 involve?
I am a Senior Risk Controller within Risk Management and contribute to the development and oversight of the Fund’s risk analysis and risk control processes.
What is the most important part of your role?
Providing a clear and independent view of the risks the Fund is taking, enabling well-informed decisions and the responsible management of pension capital over the long term.
Why did you choose AP2?
At AP2, I can work on complex issues alongside highly skilled colleagues while contributing to something important for Swedish pensioners.
